Marie Cohen

My name is Marie Cohen, I’m 42, born in France, shaped by 17 years in Switzerland, and now living between Tel Aviv and Zichron Yaakov, Israel.

Painting is a recent love — a joyful and unexpected discovery that quickly became a deep necessity.

Through color, light, and texture, I explore emotions, memories, and dreamlike impressions, searching for delicate correspondences between what is felt, heard, sensed, and remembered. Influenced by music — especially jazz — by cooking, and by all forms of sensory creation, I am drawn to moments where different essences meet and resonate together.

My paintings are intuitive, luminous, and textured, often built in layered gestures that allow light to emerge from within the surface.
